In evolutionary biology, the term is also applied to males who are unwittingly investing parental effort in offspring that are not genetically their own. While it is not a huge thing, it is seen in some relationships where the man watches his partner having sex with another man (generally). Sometime the watcher is in hiding, other time he is in full view. I have not been involved in this behavior. To say it is good or bad is not up to me.
