I was just wondering, because I haven't seen any threads about this, so I'll see if any other guys are as happy with theirs as I am with mine.

It's not totally uncommon for me to have two in the space of an hour (although I did have two in about twenty minutes one time, which was unbelievable!)...the only time I had three, it was after about eight hours of on-and-off sex...

Just wondered if anyone else has had this experience, too? Or is it really unusual?

When my husband was in his 20's it was not unusual for him to have multiples, or for him to have a very short 'refractory period'. Now (he's over 50, and yes much older than me), he's pretty much a 'once and done' kind-of-guy.

Not really unusual, if you are up for it (no pun intended)....the time between erections is called the 'refractory period', and this varies form guy to guy, and gets loooonger as you age (oh that six times in one day with that Hungarian girl when I was 17!)....what you are talking about is not really 'multiples' in the same way as a woman is able to do this, as women very often have one right after the other, separated by only moments or even seconds..they really do not need the time in between like we do.

Though, there is a kind of Tantric experience for men that can occur, where they have orgasm(s) without ejaculation and thus no need for a refractory period, so it is possible for men to have 'mulitples' in the way women do. But, methinks it takes a good deal of practice, discipline, learning, a willing woman, and likely, being raised in a culture that spiritualizes sexuality (like India).

Here is a more serious answer: perhaps it is more about slowing down and enjoying the journey more, rather than driving to the orgasm, or having more than one. If a gentleman has a difficult time in slowing himself down, he needs to learn how to do this. Being a man over 50 myself I know that we don't rebound like we did in our 20's. I've never really timed it but know for a fact it's not like it used to be. That being said there is no reason why a man can't continue to pleasure his lover even after he has had an orgasm. You don't need to have a raging erection when you have fingers, a mouth and toys to please your lover with while you wait for mother nature to reload your cannon. The more exciting his lover makes it for him will shorten his recovery time as well in my opinion.

My personal best was having 7 full blown orgasms in a 6 hour period but that was a long time ago.

I just have to add my two sense here. Being in your 20's doesn't necessarily mean you can recover easily. My hubby is 23 and is very much a one hit per 24 hr period kind of fella, sadly enough.
