In that they are expected to look and act like women in porn, which is NOT reality! So perhaps for the women who are not porn stars it is degrading to a certain degree, because of the unrealistic expectation, their self esteem is damaged and they are sometimes made to feel like less of a woman or not quite good enough, comparing themselves to these surgically altered women.
