All I want to add is to ask what is your family life like right now? Are there kids who are running her ragged? I remember a time period when I was too overwhelmed and stressed between running with the kids, running them around to their various activities, keeping up the house, cooking, and helping with homework plus working 30 hrs per week. By the time they were all in bed, I was too exhausted to want to play in our bed. We eventually figured out how to get some quality time together.

True. Matter of fact, that's one of my New Year's resolutions. I think I allow people to do that to me. TPBM is having a wonderful day.

Never ever thought I'd feel this way, but that's so true. TPBM is thinking of an imaginative way to use the leftover ribbon and bows.

Congrats on the snow. I want to say: hey - what goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Sadly, we're getting it tomorrow - possible 6-12" coming down at 1-2" per hour. It's not starting until midmorning, which means that we'll have school, they won't close early enough, and we'll be driving home at the height of the mess. On the upside - it'll be nice having a white Christmas.

Actually, my baby turned 20 on Thursday - no more teenagers Um..and they were waiting for me to get home. TPBM has lost at strip poker.

I would normally say it's a personal choice, but I'm beginning to think it's a generational thing. I don't like pointing out ages on this site since that's not what is usually a key factor. However, I notice that my son's generation (which is the same as yours) doesn't particularly like hair. He's very consciencious about it. I don't ask details, but I noticed he trimmed his chest hair this summer. I asked why and he said that most guys do, and his gf would actually prefer that he wax. I don't think that those things even occurred to the guys when I was that age. They let it come in naturally. So, for some reason, I've always associated hair with what seperated the men from the boys.

Man, I have no desire to check out 20 year olds (good grief, my son just turned 20.) I find that older men are indeed quite attractive. First of all, they don't have this need to "strut" like I remember being younger. They are comfortable with themselves, and have an ease about them - and I find that extremely attractive. I love laugh lines, and the softer versions of their bodies. I remember superficial conversations with men when I was younger. Conversations with older men are interesting, witty, intelligent... all of which I find a huge turn on. Don't sell yourself short... maybe your eyesight isn't what it used to be and your missing those subtle appreciative glances

I'm not sure what comedian it was who was telling the story - maybe Rita Rudner? But in a similar story, she replied, "Do they actually think that ovaries are homing devices?"

Suzy, I think that you are amazing for being able to discuss this so openly. I'm proud that you are working on getting beyond it. No one should have to live through that, especially at such a young age. You and ToyQueen are right- we all have our stories. It's what you do afterwards that counts so much. As indelicate as this may sound, I read stories like yours, I know my own, and I have little empathy for the people who wallow in self pity over what has been dished to them. Awful things happen. It's what you do afterwards that shows your mettle. Good For you Suz. You are awesome.

My brother in law has it. Apparently he's had it for years, but only was diagnosed when he was in such severe pain that he asked to be brought to the hospital. It was there that his small intestine ruptured. He had been having symptoms for years, but ignored them. He was lucky that it all happened in the hospital. That was about a year and a half ago, and he's doing very well now. Matter of fact, some foods that the doctors have warned him about, he's been able to tolerate just fine.
