Members Sailor Girl
Hey everyone. This is soinding stupid, because i have no sighted help around to tell me if they are. For anyone who's used the always maxi pads that are comign with the individual towels, can you flush them? I would think so, because I saw they sell the feminine wipes, so wasn't sure. I have been throwing them int he tash, just wasn't sure and not about to clog my toilet with them if they're not. Thanks for the advice on this, I just tried these yesterday when the annoynce of the month surprised me. You guys are wonderful here, I know i get embarrassed somtimes writing this stuff, hey that's woat women are for, right? grin.Hey sorry for the spelling mistakes, I really do knwo how to write well. I can't edit the post, the link has decided not to work with screen reader. Oh well, but just wanted to show you all that I'm nota net speak freak, like always using r u stuff like that. Anyway thanks for listening or reading in your case.
Tyger
The wipes that comes with the maxi pads, should be flushable, since you're wiping youself with them. Maxi pads should not be flushed. The package that they came in should tell you if the wipes can be flushed or not. Probably even on their website if you threw away the package.HOWEVER!! If they are the same consistency as say, a baby's wet wipe, I wouldn't flush it at all. Wrap it up in the used pad, and throw it away. Better to be safe than soggy!! Members whiskeywoman
"Better to be safe than soggy!!"*GROAN*I would assume that these wipes are a bit like a adult version of a baby wipe.In wich case I would highly suggest disposing of it in the trash can.Howard is quite correct when he said that the plumbers can tell you which brand of feminine product makes the most money. My niece INSISTED on flushing her tampons because the package said they were flushable, we had to call a plumber to come unclog the pipes. He smiled from the time I called him on the phone to the time he deposited my $1,500 dollar check in the bank.Yes, I know I got jipped, but, I had to have it done, and since it was a middle of the night emergency visit, the fees damn near tripled.Anyways, I say just toss them in the trash.
