Members Valntyn
TushEZE is a desensitizing cream that is used to “enhance the pleasure of anal penetration.” By applying a small amount to the anal opening a few minutes before penetration, this cream is supposed to numb the opening to make insertion a less-anxiety filled experience.I was a bit hesitant to try this product, to be honest. I think you should be able to feel everything going on “back there,” so you know if you’re hurting yourself. I was using it with my husband, though, whom I completely trust, so I knew at least if anything seemed wrong and I didn’t know it, he would. Before we even got started, I re-read a lot of the “Guide to Anal” writings in the Sex Education section of TooTimid (see above tabs). I’ve had anal sex a couple times, but they were long ago and I definitely still consider myself a Novice in the Land of Anal. After a lot of foreplay and already a couple orgasms under my belt, my husband followed the directions and rubbed some of the cream on my anal opening. I noticed a very slight “coolness” as the Benzocaine (the pain reliever ingredient) started to do its job, but it wasn’t as much as I thought it would be. We kept occupied otherwise for a few minutes more, letting it set in, then got all lubed up. (Always remember to use lots and lots of lube when practicing anal sex!)I wondered if TushEZE would numb me more than it felt it would, but unfortunately, it didn’t. Pain relievers don’t really work well with me, so this could be the major reason this cream didn’t work well.I’ll probably try this again, just to see if using more will make a difference -- but, more exciting than that, my husband made a comment that HE’D be willing to try it! I was kind of shocked by that, as his ass has always been a no-questions-asked exit-only... but I certainly won’t let him forget he said it! *laugh*
Members CGEM
I'm fundamentally against all numbing anal creams. Anal sex should NOT hurt, and if it does, you are either doing it wrong or you should refrain from it altogether. As you said, pain is a signal, and you have to be able to feel it so that you don't end up making permanent damage on yourself. I've heard of couples who were very happy with their numbing gel during the act, but long after the effect of the gel had stopped, the pain had been immense.I wouldn't recommend this product. What's interesting is that they are actually using benzocaine as the active substance. Benzocaine is a local anaesthetic that is classified strictly as a medical substance in most western countries. You can normally find it in medical tablets for sore throat etc.
Members Mikayla1
The fact is, these creams are meant for mosty external use - not to be pushing up into the anal canal. I think they are more "psychological" than anything. Like getting that oral-gel stuff at the dentist before your novacaine shot! It helps to think it won't hurt. The fact is, while a desensitization cream MAY help relax you, I doubt it could really numb the area enough to NOT feel penetration. CGEM is right, you should be able to feel if there is pain, it is a signal. However, these creams will not affect that, really, cause the pain you are more concerned about it inside the anus, not at the opening itself. So, I think the best way to prepare for anal is to be RELAXED and to enjoy the experience - and if these creams can offer some temporary piece of mind - then great! Tyger
I have to agree. I would rather be able to fully feel what's going on back there at my back door, than not. Pain is there for a reason. I'm all for helping ease pain in things like dental work, but as far as anal sex goes, you should always be able to feel what's going on there. Especially for new beginners to anal. Did it help aleviate any discomfort after the fact? If so, I would probably use it after some anal sex, if I was feeling a bit uncomfortable. Now, we need to try some anal lube!!! Members Valntyn
CGEM: Thanks for your post. I, too, am not an advocate for these types of gels, so although I'll write "this is what it should do" and give my experiences, I'm not one who'd push this at anyone, either.Mikayla: A "psychological" aid more than anything -- definitely a good term, in my opinion as well.Tyger: Actually, no, it didn't relieve any "after the fact" discomfort. I was good and relaxed (hubby REALLY enjoyed the relaxing-me part *chuckle*). We were using a new toy, a small toy, but still one that we found to be a little bit too big. I didn't tear anything, but I was quite sore, both before and after the gel wore off. Like I mentioned before, I do plan to try the gel again (with my smaller, more flexible anal toy) and I plan to use a little more to see if there's any difference. If I get any better results, I'll be sure to post them for those interested in this product. Thanks for your posts!
