my husband and I were wed a month ago and I remained a virgin until after the wedding, my husband had not. We are both older (I'm 37) and everything is in working order. We knew to expect a painful honeymoon but now a month later the only position I can do without pain is flat on my back. We are both fun and want to try other positions but he can't stand causing me pain. He is thick. How can we change positions with less pain and deflation. we've tried several types of lube. Ideas....PLEASE.

Yeah I guess thick is relative. An ex of his referrs to him as, "thick as a coke can" if that helps. Usually he gives me oral before sex but after thinking about it we usually go to missionary right I have an orgasm. We should try me on top at that point. I just didn't want my age and virginity to have hindered us. Heck I've even pondered topical anesthesia until my pain goes away but then realized it wouldn't work so well with him.

I was in the same situation as you when I got married ten years ago. My first time was horribly painful even witht he use of lube. He was ready before we left the reception, I had a migrane and nerves. I was not going to deny him after he had waited for so long. I did not communicate to him what was going on either. I believe that that is why sex continued to be quite painful even after I could become turned on. My husband suggested my getting on top during our honeymoon. It helped.

Then after the birth of a very large baby had similar problems again. We stuck with me on top for quite some time.
