Members mystofpric
So I was told that I am an "angry young woman". I don't think I'm angry all the time, while it is true that I get very upset at times but generally I try not to be angry. I am however sarcastic. Like i always have a quick come back and most of times my jokes are built on sarcasim. Now the guys at work usually life quite hard at my remarks and what not but then Thursday they told me I am an angry young woman, and they asked why I was so angry. I used to be. Well more to the point I used to be very very VERY depressed and while I didn't enterain thoughts of suicide I did lash out, a lot. SO much so it almost cost em a job, my theatre job in fact. Talk about a walk up call. I have changed a lot since then. I generally don't lash out at people ( and i mean everyojne I made people cry friends family co-workers dudes on te street) any more and I really try hard to keep my anger in check when I do get angry. When something bothers me at work, unless it's a huge serious issue. I wait and hour or so before bringing to my supervisor so that a) I can calm down and i can come up with a solution. When I get angry here at home, I usually come rant to y'all (sorry, but I trust ya) or a friend. So could it be that I'm still this horribly angry person who's gonna snap one day and go postal? Or could it just be that they are mistaking my saracasim for something serious? Any thoughts?
Members pappyld04
I know of two girls that fit this general description. One does it more for the drama IMO, the other is often not even trying to hurt anyone's feelers but is taken that way by many. When you are venting I don't think you'll be as likely to go postal. Members square
Do the worker bees think you are just plain angry, or an angel most of the time with a fire-hot temper? What about people outside of work, can you ask anyone for a second opinion on whether they think you are Mrs. Bitter or Mrs. Buttercup? How are you behind the wheel? Do you get mad at every jackass on the road and want to run them all into a ditch, or are you content to leave them be?If you get drunk, do you become a mellow, happy drunk, or do you get belligerent and have to pick a fight with everyone? When you get mad, do you turn green and get really big muscles that rip your clothes apart and go on a rampage barefoot and tear apart city blocks and then have no memory of it once you calm down? (Saw that in a movie once . . . )Anyway, just some miscellaneous thoughts. I'm no head-shrinker, and have no idea if the answers have any true bearing on whether or not you are overly grouchy. Members mystofpric
Do the worker bees think you are just plain angry, or an angel most of the time with a fire-hot temper?I don't actually know, I know that I was wicked sick last week, and I was miserable even into this week. It started because I play the soft rock station, which is the only one that comes in with no static and is pretty much non-offensive. They seem to play alot of old angry alanis morrisette and so they started in on it because of my "angry woman music" What about people outside of work, can you ask anyone for a second opinion on whether they think you are Mrs. Bitter or Mrs. Buttercup?People outside of work think I'm somewhere in the middle. ALthough, like i said I used to have a lot of anger issues so I get a lot of people who remark how much I've changed. How are you behind the wheel? Do you get mad at every jackass on the road and want to run them all into a ditch, or are you content to leave them be?Road rage all the way. Though I normall just yell a little in the car and pass them as soon as I can safely. If you get drunk, do you become a mellow, happy drunk, or do you get belligerent and have to pick a fight with everyone?I'm a funny drunk, or so I've heard. Though if som, ething is upsetting before I'm drunk, I have a good chance of becoming an emo drunk. and I cry, which is usually followed by getting sick. When you get mad, do you turn green and get really big muscles that rip your clothes apart and go on a rampage barefoot and tear apart city blocks and then have no memory of it once you calm down? (Saw that in a movie once . . . )Nope. I don't even turn red (good blood pressure.)Anyway, just some miscellaneous thoughts. I'm no head-shrinker, and have no idea if the answers have any true bearing on whether or not you are overly grouchy. It seems to me actually Square that these are good questions and I have to say I don't think I angry like i was but I know that was a really bad time for me and I don't want to go back that way.
