Members synirr Posted October 31, 2008 Members Report Posted October 31, 2008 First of all, let me say that my BF and I are both biology majors, and huge nerds. He has an awesome microscope, which he brought over the other day. Last night we were playing around with it, making slides of water from my fish tanks and whatnot... and we had to best idea ever for a slide....Can you guess? That's right, I gave him a blow/handjob, and we looked at his semen under a microscope. You could see all the spermies very clearly, it was so cool!! I saw one with two tails, along with a few other common abnormalities. It was the neatest thing ever, but the thought did occur to me that we are probably very strange Quote

( Intra Uterine Insemination) When I was at the Dr's I actually asked If I could see, his sperm in the microscope! They let me too! I thought it was way cool! Unbelievable how in just one drop there are around 500 sperm isn't it! If I had a microscope at home I would totally do it too! Quote
Members makasha1 Posted October 31, 2008 Members Report Posted October 31, 2008 Strange? I don't think so.I see you as comfortable with your bodies, open with your sexuality and inquisitive. All good traits to me. Quote

I think your awesome to be so curious. Quote
Members vanilla_bean Posted November 1, 2008 Members Report Posted November 1, 2008 My husband was also a biology major, but we'd have to go back to the lab to try that out. Wait a minute. I think I need to take my husband something at the lab! Quote
Review Team sass Posted November 1, 2008 Review Team Report Posted November 1, 2008 I think it is cool too. I am always curious about ... well, pretty much anything!I also think is it cool that "the boy" is now "my BF"! Quote
Members square Posted November 1, 2008 Members Report Posted November 1, 2008 Just curious, what magnification did you need to see the little swimmies? And by the way, the older I get, the more I realize how odd even normal-seeming people are; there is almost no such thing as normal. Quote
Guest eminatic Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 LOL! i've had a microscope laying around forever and never thought of this XDsounds like fun though Quote
Members mystofpric Posted November 1, 2008 Members Report Posted November 1, 2008 Ohhh that is sooooo cool!!! I would have been all over looking at the little swimmers too! Quote
Members synirr Posted November 3, 2008 Author Members Report Posted November 3, 2008 I would have looked up the abnormalities and see what they mean if anything.I would have, if I didn't already know it's normal. When you think about how many individual sperms a male's body produces on a daily basis, it's astounding how few mistakes there are!! All we saw were a couple of tailless ones and one huge one.I also think is it cool that "the boy" is now "my BF"! Haha, thanks. I'm pretty happy about it too. Just curious, what magnification did you need to see the little swimmies?I think his ocular lens is 10x, so we were looking at them at 400x magnification, but they were probably barely visible at 100x.Makes me kinda sad I'm a girl... I wish I could see my gametes under a microscope Quote
Members Shariana Posted November 3, 2008 Members Report Posted November 3, 2008 LOLI did this before... my senior year of high school, his junior year..... we were both looking into premed.... so of course, we were interested! xD Quote
Members Valntyn Posted November 3, 2008 Members Report Posted November 3, 2008 *laughing* First off, glad you had a good, imaginative time!!This reminded me of my senior year, in AP Bio... my class partner and I were doing a project during which we had to take pics of sperm under the microscope. We finished developing our own pictures and ran to our next class quite late. We burst through the door and the teacher just kinda looked at us, as if waiting for our explanation. "Sorry," I said, "We were photographing our sperm." (Neither of us were ever ones to mince words. ) The entire class started cracking up, with the teacher left sitting there, kinda speechless (but where it was us, not exactly shocked). Quote
