I recently got my new box of toys from tootimid (YAY!!), and one of the vibrators I bought was a little wider than I had originally expected. When I tried to experiment with it, I couldn't even get it in! I've used sex toys before, but this one may be a little too much! Any suggestions on how to start using this monster without so much pain?!?

Good news! The lock was a success this time!! I think since I actually did something about it instead of talking first, they really did see that this was important to me and not just a "phase". I've even been training them to knock on my door rather than barging in! For a few weeks I'm locking my door every time I go in my room, so they have to knock if they need something. So far it's working, they're finally starting to get the idea! Thanks again for the support you guys, it gave me the courage to really do something about my problem!

And no, I am not substituting toys for companionship, I am in a loving relationship with a guy who wants to wait until after marriage to have sex. I respect his decision, even though I would jump at the chance if he changed his mind about waiting.

Yes, I definitely have seen that episode of Real Sex (and all the others, several times...)! I think that the realistic male doll would be amazing, but kind of creepy to have. I know I would just pee my pants if I forgot to put it away one night and walked into my living room at 3 am to get some water and saw a naked man sitting on my couch!! I do most of my toy shopping online, usually in stores that show the toy itself (like TT) so I can see what it really looks like. This produces some cringing occasionally when I open up an order to find a toy I was really looking forward to packaged in a very sleazy or cheap-looking way. It does dissappoint me a little when that happens, but if the toy holds up to my expectations, I can usually forgive tackiness.

I did get a friend of mine a bullet one year as a gag for Christmas. She had been moping for 6 months about her ex-bf, and I thought a gift like that would startle her back out of her shell.....it worked!! Two weeks later, during a joking conversation about the gift, she told me that she was ready for the dating scene again!

I feel rather odd to be this young (barely out of high school) and already using half a dozen sex toys and watching adult videos. Thanks for the support you guys! I decided to try a new tactic today - I installed a bolt lock on my door while my parents were gone (I even unlocked the mysteries of a power drill!), and I plan to have a serious talk with both of them when they get home. I think this will show them that I am serious about my privacy needs and hopefully they will finally respect my wishes. *Cross your fingers for me!*
Also, I really just wanted to thank you guys for understanding and giving me the support you did. This site is wonderful and I will be coming back to the forum for years to come! I am in college and I'm living with my parents until this fall. Whenever I feel "in the mood" and just want to lock myself in my room with some good tunes, some candles, and my toybox, I feel so paranoid. I can't even really lock myself in my room, I've tried to install locks, but my father always plays the "not while you're under my roof" card, so they may walk in on me at any time (I can't seem to get them to understand the concept of KNOCKING). The only room in the house that actually has a lock on it is the bathroom, and 'bathtime fun' can get old. I just don't know what to do!!
