Here is a different point of view.

Also you might want to have a small day pack to take with you during your trips this way you will not leave any valuables in the jeep "they're hard to lock". Pack some large trash bags big enough to put your day pack in and other things you want to keep dry while driving around. This way you will not need to put the top up during rain storms.

LG and I made one, many years ago.
I would recommend using a tripod to hold the camera, we placed ours on the end of the bed. Once the action got going the camera "was a bouncing" we did not notice it at the time however upon review we laughed our asses off, and still do to this day.

LG and I lived on the Big Island of Hawaii. Contrary to popular belief it's not Oahu.
Oahu is a city nice place to skip.
Kauai is a beautiful Island spent some time there.
Maui is also a beautiful Island spent some time there also.

If I were to suggest time on Islands.
3 days Kauai (first part)
3 days Maui (second part)
7 days Big Island (third part)
Reserve a jeep for all three islands buy a throw away cooler for all three islands (worry about recycling when you get back to your normal life)
Here is what you want to do on the Big Island leave Kona head over to south point go to the boat ramp at south point take a left. Drive to green sands beach climb down the rope and have sex on green sands beach, don't worry if there are people who can see you because there is no one for them to tell. Well you should replace your smoke detectors every several years, and I believe in recycling as much as I can. Screwed the backing plate in around the eye bolt then put the cover on it, when we need a place to hook a swing pop the cover off and VE-OLA' (voila).
We are going to order a new swing soon, but the old one we made was/is a lot of fun.
If anybody has questions about the assembling the stand or how to hang the swing you can PM me I can try to give pointers and tips on some things.
But back to the original statement you should know the reputation of any contractor you hire word of mouth is best. What is really funny is for the past few years I have been telling LG that I wanted to start building "Adult Fun Rooms" for lack of a better term but would not know how to advertise.
