Rant: I don't ever sleep anymore. I'm starting to look like hell because of it.
I found out this morning that the test results were lower than they'd like so they are upping the date of the IUI to this month instead of next. Told me the success rate isn't high and rarely is it successful the first time. I feel its going to end up being a waste of time and $400. I also fear that it will never happen and I will never be a mother.
Rave: Tomorrow I get to dress up and attempt to be pretty. I am the hostess of my niece's baby shower. I love planning parties but this one was tough to do as it really should've been mine.

Sex drives vary from person to person and what's going in your life at any particular time. The stereotypes all make it sound like women especially lose their sex drive as they get older, but around here it seems like just the opposite! (maybe there's something in the water!) Most of the women I know around 50 give or take, have a higher drive than they have ever had, wanting sex every single day while most of the men in this age group seem to be slowing down.

Rant:
How is it that a father can just sit by and not pay his child support. Come on he is determined to pay $63 a week which isn't anything plus 50% of her extra curricular activities. Since he lives with his mom since the divorce became final he has had 3 jobs in less than a year. Now is 7 weeks behind in child support as well as not paying towards her activities. He thought that trading watching his daughter he would ask for credit towards child support. He thought for each day he watched her I would credit one week. What damn planet are you from. It will cost me $25 a day for care for her. He is such a joke. Talked to the caseworker for child support and they are trying to enforce it. They sent him a letter that he must respond to by catching up the child support or appearing before a judge who can put him in jail. Should be interesting how he handles it My daughter is 9 and understands that she isn't a big fan of her dad. She has noticed times when he is busy with watching football or being with his girlfriend that my daughter comes last.

My big, long rant for the day:
Seeing shows like Toddlers & Tiaras disturbs the hell out of me!...Watching little baby girls made up and coached into acting like mini ho's & drama queen divas just turns my stomach! All mom's think their kids are gorgeous, but when you are so confused that you think it's a good idea to sexualize a child just to get attention you are crossing the line of good sense and responsible parenting! I have personally known mothers who started dressing their daughters and putting makeup on them like they were 16 and pushing the "boyfriend" crap from the 1st grade! Then people are shocked when they hear the statistics that nowdays the majority of girls are already giving blow jobs by the time they are 14 and a large number knocked up before 18! WTF???
I think it's very healthy and empowering for women to embrace their sexuality and not be repressed. It's a lifetime journey of exploration and if you can find that confidence and knowledge as a younger woman instead of at middle age you have a better chance of ending up in a relationship that will be more totally fulfilling. (notice I am saying WOMAN and NOT girl!)
The paradox is that you don't want to see young girls be promiscuous either. There are the obvious dangers and negative consequences such as STD's and unplanned pregnancies, but no matter how smart and mature they think they are a young ego can get lost among the drama of too many partners leaving and using you whether it's a one night stand or a relationship.
Talk to your kids openly and honestly about sexuality but don't preprogram them into thinking that's all they have to offer! They need to mature emotionally to be able to really appreciate and enjoy it anyway!

The only way I can get there is to stop thinking and just focus on sensation. Is this strictly a what-if question, or has this happened to you?
