One night I received a call of a robbery in progress at a liquor stores. I responded "red lights and siren" into the area.

When I contacted the store clerk he told me there was no robbery just a drunk passed out in the rear parking lot. He knew we would get there faster if he said he had been robbed. I gave him reasons why he should not do that again, one being he would be arrested. I then went on to the next call of the night.

One night at "end of watch" I was driving back to the station. I was driving in the hills on a "no parking zone" street and saw a vehicle parked. I stopped behind it and went up to the driver.
