My parents NEVER talked to me about sex. I learned from reading and doing. That is one reason I love this place! People can learn so much from this forum no matter what experience level you are. Just wish it was around when I was learning! Of course I practiced a lot with my girlfriends and by myself!!haha
As for my kids, we talk about anything! Yeah, when they were younger we would use words that they understood, but now they are old enough to be told the real deal. Neither of them want to know about our sex life and have never really tried to tell them about all of that. They get grossed out when they know we are going to have sex, but we tell them that they should be happy that their parents still love each other and want to have sex!
They know that they can come to us for anything! We never encourage them to have sex yet, but tell them if they are that they have to be careful and use protection!! We are not ready to be grandparents or for them to get an STD. We believe in letting them know what is out there and sex isn't dirty, but that they shouldn't be doing it with just anybody!
A freind of our daughter's just found out that she has clamitia(SP?) and it was a good reminder to both of them to see what can happen if you are not careful! I think it really openned our daughters eyes to what can happen! We are also proud of her for telling us about this and she has been helping her friend understand that it is OK, but she needs to be more careful if she is going to have sex!! At least her friend is not pregnant or has a disease that you can't get rid of! It will make our kids think before they do something unprotected! We are very happy that they know they can talk to us about ANYTHING!!

I think that 99% of sex is staged. I mean, think about it. Is it literally at that MOMENT that you want or need sex? No. Usually people are thinking about sex hours or days before they actually have it. Or, if you are a spontaneous couple, you still know sex is happening. You wash up, light candles, put on lingerie, flirt, touch, talk, suggest....in that respect sex is almost always staged or planned. I find nothing wrong with planning sex, as long as it isn't mundane and the same every time. Or, as long as you never have JUST staged or planned sex. Sometimes it is important to just do it - no candles, no lingerie - just two bodies together in harmony!
Amen, Mikayla!! I agree 110%! Yes, sometimes it is great to just rip each others clothes off and get down and dirty! Hard to do much with kids and all around, but that is a great primal thing to do when you can! Planned sex is also good as long as it isn't the exact same thing all the time! It doesn't have to be an exact time, just a portion of the day when you know both of you can get free for a while! I really love it when both of us have been thinking about sex for hours! It builds both of us up to the point when we get to, it is great!! Times like that, she can cum 2 or 3 times with just a quickie!! Well, not sure I would call it a quickie, but it's still not full blown gettin' nasty sex!haha

We know all about not having the time for sex, but we usally take an afternoon or two to have sex. Sometimes it is at night, but most of the time it is in the afternoon. We have a shop by our house that I work in and we have a futon here. So, we try to sneak up here and lock all the doors and have a good time.
As we have two teeneagers and live in a log cabin, we have almost zero privacy except for the shop most of the time. We do plan things sometimes, but we also try to get away as often as we can to have a night or two alone.
I agree with Iha that planned sex can be good if one of you plan it with the others knowledge. One of us will have everything planned out and the other just enjoys what the other has planned. It doesn't have to be an exact time, just the day and what part of the day. We work around each other on the timing!
Best of luck to all of you that are having these problems and hope you get things straightened out to where you can have a fulfilling sex life! It works for us, but taking a weekend when we can just get away is always the best! Then there are no timetables to deal with! Just staying naked and getting it as much as we can!!!
