Hey, I can truly empathize with you on this one. My wife and I met 6 yrs ago when her daughter was almost 3 yrs old. Her ex b/f had been out of the picture for almost six months i think.

However, your B/F and the boy's father needs to sit down with the kid and explain who you are to him. Explain that you are not replacing his Mom, but to also establish you as a person and your role in your the family relationship.

Just a guy's opinion here but I can't think of any reason why a guy would be scared of a woman initiating sex. EVER? My excitement level has always been higher when a partner initiates to me. For one, it shows you hace clear intentions and desires and alleviates of thinking we will be shot down. Open communication between couples is required for loving couples, and we guys are more open to communicaton in this sense!!
I can only remember turning it it down a few times that was due to not feeling well and desperately needing sleep from lack of the night before. Unless, there are feelings of inadequacy and not feeling that you can fully pleasure the partner. But, hell, give it your best shot, LITERALLY!!!!!!!

Yes, HOME the sooner the better!!! Unfortunately, I think the name of this site, Too Timid kind of describes my wife. I've pretty much been the same way, but i've been curious lately and decided to give my Instead Softcups another try. (for those that don't know, it is a menstrual cup that forms a seal around the cervix, and collects menstrual fluid as it comes out of the cervix, thus allowing for "clean" sex during menstruation) but the thing has never worked 100% for me. I think i am part of the "very small percentage of women whose pelvic anatomy is too small" 
anyway every time i use it i cannot stop thinking "this looks huge, how would a guy NOT detect this during sex?" (as is the claim of the manufacturers) so i decided to give some to my friend to see if they worked for her and she did a complete 180 on her opinion of sex during menstruation

I have done it many times with past g/f and current wife. They all informed me ahead of time and asked how I felt about it. I think they were all shy and nervous about it. I believe I told them each that it was fine. Although, I think that after I pulled out they were very nervous about what I would see and tried to keep me from looking, even in the shower. Hey, after soap and water it was all gone......literally!

I had often wondered this too. I don't think I have logged on to TT since last November, but even then I never saw anybody in there, nd I rarely ever saw anybody registered online either. And I often checked at many different times of the day or night.
