We went to a friend's house & left early because I had my daughter with me. Then I put her to bed, & sat up & played on the tablet, & texted some friends. :-) Not overly thrilling, but it was more than I've done in the last few years.

As for your gf thinking you're loony, my mother has ocd, so I understand where she's coming from. However, I see myself doing some things that, once I get the thought in my head, I feel I MUST do. Silly thi gs like going to the store to get that must have (usually silly) item. So I think I have tendancies. My big thing that makes me bonkers are messes. Not sure if that is a real issue, or I am tired of y soon to be ex husband not doing any housework. Now that I'm in my own place, I feel I can leave a few dishes in the sink until I do them. I agree though. Most people have out-there ideas. Hence where books, movies, art ect. comes from. Some choose to create something safe with it. If yoj know the difference between right & wrong, knowing what your ideas would mean morally & legally, then I wouldn't worry. Now if you start getting urges to actually DO them, that's when you may want to seek help. From wnat you wrote though, it sounds like you have a good nead on your shouldrs. :-)

I will, however, admit to being guilty of texting or checking my phone on the last couple of date nights my soon-to-be-ex had. I think we'd both known it was over for a while, and though the date night was a nice gesture on his part, we both weren't truly into it.
But, if/when I do ever go out on a date again, I will have my phone with me, because, chances are, it'll be on a night where DD is with her father, and I will want to be able to be contacted 100% of the time when it comes to DD. But I won't be texting like crazy or not paying attention to my date. At almost 40, I'm sure most guys I will possibly date will have a child as well, so hopefully, this will be accepted.
