I have not used one, partly due to the fact that mine is busted right now, the other that we just didn't do it when the camera worked. I can give you a few tips however just on the practical side of it. I have several friends who work in TV and film so the first thing you need to know is lighting. You can't leave just a hallway or bedside light on and expect to watch it again with any ammount of clarity. you will need more lighting than that. Also, depending on ethnicity pick sheets that are opposite your skin tone. If you are caucassian, get dark, if african-american, get some lighter, the contrast helps alot. Trust me. Don't go with white under any sircumstances, it will reflect the light and could distort your resolution on camera.

My second tip would be to set up the camera, run a test film for about 5 minutes and do all sorts of things, jump on the bed, check to see where you will be in the shot and out of it. Move closer and farther away from the camera a few times and make sure the auto focus will work.

Now, in the adult film industry, I know they use white sheets and so on alot, but they have professional lighting and crews who can do alot more than most of us at home with a camera and tri-pod could. Remember, this will be on continuous shot, not edited or moving, so know where the camera is, but don't focus any attention to it. Focus on your man.

As a side note, one thing many men find erotic is holding the camera while doing many things. oral sex is always hot on film, not to mention holding the camera while having sex in many positions. Many years ago, me and my wife was walking around in a shopping centre, and we got to buy a camcorder. We had no intention to use it in the "bedroom", but it happened that it was taken to the bathroom by me, mostly as a joke. It ended with different recordings of our very private happenings.
