  1. I think that is sickening that people would not wait when damaging another person's car. It is called a hit and run. It happened to my Mom's mustang at work. A coworker of hers smashed into the passenger side, so that the door was crunched in and jammed. Apparently, the woman got out to look at the damage to HER car, and then drove off. Thankfully, a security guard saw the WHOLE thing and got the police there ASAP. The woman had to pay the deductible for the mustang, even though Michigan is a no fault state, because she fled from the scene. I too have accidentally hit someone. I was backing out of a rather tight space and dinged another car at like, 1 MPH. It looked like I left a rather large dent, too. I went into the store again and had them page the owner of XYZ vehicle. Turned out the dent had already been there, though he was glad I was so honest.
  2. PE can get a little rough sometimes. My former school district only let us play floor hockey in junior high and above. We never wore protective equipment, except for the goalie. We did not use pucks, but rubber balls that don't have much force behind them. But the sticks are wood and plastic, and sure do smart when someone gives your shin a sharp hit with them. BUT there were rules, such as no raising the stick above the hips. If any of the PE teachers saw a hockey stick rise above someone's waist, you were OUT and instead had to go running around the track I had my glasses busted in dodge ball from a hard smack to the face. Thankfully my eyeglasses place fixed them for free. But I was temporarily blinded from the force of the ball for about thirty seconds, that was freaky. I agree that if the school will not cough up money for the bills, than you should go after the other child's parents. He (or she) was doubtfully following proper playing rules, and was probably doing something stupid like trying to play golf with a hockey stick. I hope your daughter is ok.
  3. I know, it is extremely weird to discover this place on a fish forum! Internet can be a strange place, eh? Lol, if you ever want to stop by, it is called Ultimate Bettas, it is another invision board. I believe most of the UBers (including myself) have the same username we use here, there. We don't just chat talk bettas, and of course, the PG18 place is always fun, and how I came to learn about too timid
  4. I notice there are some threads discussing youngins finding sex toys. But, I was curious, has anyone accidentally found someone else's toy, like as a child? I was reading this thread here. As I was reading, I realized something. That when I was little, I believe around six, I happened upon a toy owned by my nanny ! Since I have only recently discovered the world of toys, I had no idea until now. She told me to find her sewing scissors in her desk drawer, and since I didn't find it in the specified drawer, I look in the others in my search. And thus I found this cool looking metal cylindrical thing with a ribbed/bumpity texture that had a switch to make it vibrate . I was like "what is this?" NOW I know exactly what it was! She said it was a massager and left it at that! And I went on none the wiser...until now
  5. This post is a bit late, since I am new to the forum. But I thought I'd offer some advise/experience. It is great you were finally able to find some 'happiness', and it indeed does get a lot better! Is your room situation like one single room with beds, no real privacy? That is the typical dorm room, unfortunately. But there is a good thing. You probably know your roommate/s better than anyone else, since you live with them 24/7! Their quirks, habits, etc. I've found after sharing a dorm like the one described with another girl, that I've learned her sleeping habits, and thus know when the engage in some 'playtime' . When she is awake/newly asleep she is very mobile and rolls around a lot. But when asleep, no movement. I also know she is an extremely deep sleeper, she's slept through fire alarm tests and outrageously loud alarm clocks (through I remain very quiet still). Ever since I've learned this, I have not been deprived (which I was slightly worried about when I came to college). For all I know, she knows my sleeping habits and has done the same Also, there is the shower, which always means some private time. If you haven't done anything in there, I definitely recommend you give it a try. And if you are interested in toys, it would be very easy to get a discreet, waterproof toy for shower time.
  6. Just wanting to poke my nose in and say hi. I learned about too timid in the strangest of places, the PG18 part of a fish forum ('tis a wild place sometimes!). Anyhoo, I am a toy newbie, as I am anxiously awaiting my first box from too timid (yays!). This young padawan has much to learn, and it has been fun browsing the forum, so its nice to be able to post now
  7. Hey, Jenn! Recognize me? Haha, another wander-over from UB!
