Members Venus7405
Last night, when I had finished playing with my new dildo,I noticed that there was blood on it,and some on my sheet. I am using lubricant, and making sure that I am wet before insertion. This is a bigger one than I have used before,I have only had two,and the other was on the smaller side. Should I be concerned? Members Mikayla1
Welcome Melanie!Ok, first, there are many reasons for light blood 'staining' during toy play (or even intercourse). If you are right before or right after your period, you can dislodge some of the blood that was left inside your vaginal canal or stuck on your cervix. Similarly, if the toy was longer than usual, you could have hit your cervix, causing the bleeding. Also, depending on what type of toy it is, if it was textured at all, you could have scraped the sides a bit - but this is unlikely. Or, if you used your fingers at all, a slight fingernail cut can do it.I would not be concerned at all unless it keeps bleeding (and you are not supposed to be getting your period) or if it only bleeds when you have sex or play. (also if you bleed when running or exercising, it could be a cyst). Just keep an eye on it, and let us know if it continues. Then we may recommend you see your OBGYN. Members cmwise1
Depending on how old you are, the bleeding may have more or less significance. If you are younger and with a new partner, it could signal an STD. If you are older and haven't had regular PAP smears it could be caused by cells on the cervix. Bleeding once is okay, but if the bleeding persists at all, I recommend you see your Gynecologist.
