Members Sunday
65th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy today. Remember those who served. One day I hope to get over there for a visit.I hope you do. Two years ago I was at Omaha beach and the cemetary at Colleville - 9500 white crosses. It is a sobering experience. Omaha is more a cliff than a beach. I am in awe of the courage of the men who were there. It's hard to imagine. I heard one man say that believed he died when he got on the landing craft and it was only two days later that he allowed himself to think that he was alive. I'd have to do that. I think that's the only way I could handle it.
