The usual story is that I knew his cousin for a long time since we worked in the same field. That is actually true. But the scandalous way we actually met was that I was an escort and a relative of his was my long-time client. He set me up with my now-partner and we ended up falling in love. I knew of my now-partner from working with his cousin in project management. But I ended up meeting him through a relative as an escort. We started to become friends, but when they broke up I knew I couldn't just remaining a friend. She was hurt over the breakup and I had recently gone through a messy breakup of my own. We were helping each other through, enjoying each other's company, and it was leading to more. I tried to be a good friend and asked her ex(my friend) if it was ok if I asked her out. But to tell you the truth, it wouldn't have mattered. We were both drawn to each other and would have pursued it no matter what he said. 12 1/2 yrs later we are going strong and still very much in love.
