Two weeks ago, my wife and I had pleasurable, free and quite erotic sex. What made this particular session unusual was how it concluded: somehow we ended up in the missionary position/male superior (MPMS).

I honestly could not remember the last time that we had used this position. You know it's funny While I was pregnant ( I have a 7 month old) We couldn't do it in the missionary position and I really missed it! When we were able to do it finally after the baby was born. I orgasmed during just intercourse. I had not ever been able to do that before! When we have sex we do it in a lot of positions. (see my stories ) Missionary is definitely a favorite! Never did it exclusively! Whitefang said it, we do that one a lot! I tell her I'm going to stick her toes in her ears!!haha I can hit that spot and she can cum several times before I do!! We first stopped using MPMS when I was very pregnant with my first child, I did miss it, but found I really liked other positions as well or better. It's still one of my favorite, because it's the most romantic. We switch things up a lot, but we usually use a variation of MPMS when I'm really tired.

We still use it, with variations, and depending on which partner I'm with has a lot to do with how frequently. It is not now, nor has it ever been my favorite, but it did get a lot more attention during those conception years when I could elevate the hips immediately after. I would say after the early 30's we stopped using it nearly as much as we did prior to that.

Most of the variations are not a solid man-lying-on-top sort as much as they are more like Aiden described. MOT has its place, but there are so many more exciting ones!
