In that they are expected to look and act like women in porn, which is NOT reality! So perhaps for the women who are not porn stars it is degrading to a certain degree, because of the unrealistic expectation, their self esteem is damaged and they are sometimes made to feel like less of a woman or not quite good enough, comparing themselves to these surgically altered women. Hi all Hope you are all WELL and getting ready for summer 2011... I have been buried in DRAMA... such is my life. BUT I am well and very happy. My H and I have separated, I am seeing a wonderful man whom I reconnected with after almost 20 years. It has been nothing less than amazing. My Kids are growing (8, 7 and 3 now!!) I am thinking about joining a Roller Derby team also!! I pretty much have been sucked in to Facebook so if anyone of my friends want to find me on there, send me a PM... Glad to see the forum is still moving and that some of the loyal regulars are still on here... I'll try to pop in more often. I feel so lost! LOL <3 Sun...

I think things affect you throughout your live and that shapes your character. My husband cheated, his dad was notoriously unfaithful. For My H... deep down he felt it to be some sort of rite of passage to have an affair. he had low self esteem and felt, that this meant he was more of a man, having secret sex with a woman who wasn't his wife... Just like his dad, and his father before him... Then there is me... I had a rough upbringing, deeply insecure, felt ostracized for many reasons which made me desperate for friends and attention. I thought this was all behind me. Now it seems to be resurfacing in the way of needing male attention... I am not proud of this but it is definitely a good argument that your past can affect how you are and influence your decisions...

WOW! I think you have to seriously examine the possible consequences of this... how will you both feel afterward etc. It could be a wonderful thing... it could be disastrous. Soberly think it through! I know for me, I have a really hard time separating sex and love.. but that's me... there are insecurities and jealous feelings deep inside that people don't even know they have until it is facing them! Gonna briefly add here and say HEY to you cause I miss you!! I think you definitely have to compromise for each other in any relationship but this should not include things like self expression, who you are, your values and belief system and what you like to do in life. I think trying to change someone to make them into the perfect mate is futile (on both sides). There is compromise and acceptance. There should be mostly acceptance on BOTH parts to live harmoniously... I didn't read everyone's full reply... hope this isn't redundant!
