Having been on anti-depressants for most of my adult life, I can personally attest to the fact that 1) they do decrease libido; 2) they do have long lasting side effects and 3) they are over prescribed. However, I would not call them worthless for those of us that have chronic conditions that need them. I've just gone through a major increase in my current drug - which I found out today was what was causing my inability to have an orgasm. So, I've stopped that (did on my own 2 weeks ago) and we will be looking at another combination if not changing it all together (oh joy, I can't tell you how happy that makes me!) My point is I agree that Paxil is not the answer I'd go with for his ED problems - I'd try anything first before drugs - but if he has to resort to drugs - know that the first recommendation may not work and you'll need to keep trying..... Sometimes, better living through chemistry is necessary...hopefully not in this case!
