  1. That's one reason why I stayed covered up. I guess they aren't too bad since I've had three kids, but I just couldn't post the shot without the bra. We're all in the same boat...gravity is part of the price we pay at this age - but think of the plus side. I'm sooooo much more comfortable and sexy now (even with some weight and gravity) than I ever was in my twenties and thirties.
  2. I bet the clamps get uncomfortable - but they are most definitely hot. Now that I know that about the piercing, makes it more intriguing. hmmm... when did you have it done? Any drawbacks?
  3. Congrats Suzy! The stripe came out so straight! Must have been tedious to put the tape on.
  4. Thanks for the enouraging words. Chloe - love the last picture. Em, your picture is amazing.
  5. Vanilla, I feel your frustration. I've been going to the gym 4-5 times per week (I don't have time to do all the other classes and things that you do.) And have had almost the same results. Blood pressure can fluctuate. Did you have something a little higher in sodium that day or the day before you went for your physical? I've talked to a lot of people and their main response was if I felt any differently. I do. My classroom is on the third floor. I used to be gasping for breath by the time I reached the top with my laptop and bag of correcting. Now, I don't. I have noticed that my thighs aren't fitting as tightly in my pants as they used to. Also, someone told me too that I since I alternated cardio and weight/toning machines, that I stick with just cardio. But, I've noticed the firming of that underarm swing a bit, as well as the inner thigh area, so I'm reluctant to give it up. I know this post is all over the place, but I guess it mimics my thoughts on it.
  6. False and True. Not sad, but very lonely. TPBM has a delicious secret.
  7. She is adorable! I do miss all the fun stuff that goes with that age. When one of my daughters was around that age, she misunderstood Cinderella and thought that the character who granted Cinderella's wishes was her fairy "grandma."
  8. I wasn't scared, but things like that always give me goosebumps. I'm intrigued.
  9. IMO, I think that your husband should be more concerned about your health and well-being. If you had such a difficult time, six years later isn't going to make the next go around any easier, especially since you've had health issues on top of it. I had wanted a large family, but we stopped after three since I discovered my limitations. I was stressed enough and it wouldn't be fair to the children I already had, to add any more. Taking into consideration our business (at the time) and the hours we put into it, I wouldn't have been able to deal with it.
  10. Wow. Your story gave me goosebumps. All I could think of was who was his owner who was buried nearby that he was guarding?
  11. I know he did some research on it. It was buried for a long time - the silver leaves (I think that's what he told me they were) are gone from it. We're not sure if they disintegrated, or whether they were taken off. My son has always loved history, but this really motivated him. For the last two years, he is a Civil War Re-enactor, and is at college for Historic, Art, and Architectual Preservation. I wish that the buckle would bring that amount of money, or if it did, that he'd part with it. It would come in handy paying off those college loans.
  12. My home was built in 1850. I always got a sense that there were spirits here. Besides the feel I got, on occasion, my dog would be staring hard at absolutely nothing. I suspect that dogs can tune in like babies can, which is more easily than we can. When we started renovating the house, when I tell you the spirits were restless, boy were they ever. Things were being moved. I came downstairs several mornings to two pictures on the floor. The glass was never shattered, even when one of the frames was apart. When we finished renovating, things became more peaceful than what they originally were. We had tried to give the kitchen a more "period" look, despite what other people had done. I got this feeling that they were happy with how it turned out. Ok, so that might not be "real" evidence.... but... a couple of years ago, my 17 yr old son was digging a hole in the backyard and found a Civil War belt buckle. He started reseraching into the previous owners of our home. That was all fine. But then, he started researching, visiting and making rubbings of their gravestones from the cemetaries. Well, havoc broke loose here. The dog was acting funny... not being able to sit still, walking from room to room. My daughter listened to a conversation coming from the attic. And I was woken up out of a sound sleep, with my windows and door shut, by a very distinct ice cold breeze blowing on my face. As soon as my son stopped visiting the cemetaries and gravesites, everything calmed down again. So, yes, I most definitely believe in it.
  13. whew... why can't that happen to me?
  14. Suzy, I agree with Ladylove - sounds like a toxic environment. I understand about saving money - so try to fly under the radar until you can get enough to break free. My mother sounds a lot like your mother and there is really no reasoning with them... and if you do, they'll somehow acquire more ammunition. The only solution is to break free.
  15. Ok, being an English teacher, I usually love sharing geeky English jokes with my students... but I think I'll forward that one on to the other teachers in my department. hehe.
  16. My goodness Sun... your baby is your spitting image! What a doll! Btw: I have the dreaded hacked bang picture also.
  17. I think a nice personal touch would be for the calendars to be hand delivered.
  18. Ok, I thought I was odd when this happened to me. I don't know how many times I've written that phrase on this site. Anyway, when I was with FWB, I could detect that odor as well. But it was different. There are times I've been in public places and have thought to myself, "goodlord, someone is in definite need of a bath and deoderant." But this was different, it was a very clean odor (oxymoronic, eh?) It did turn me on, boy did it ever. Because we work together, I do see him around - my sense of smell goes crazy when I'm in close radius of him. Makes it difficult to keep away.
