Try one of the regular old hard plastic vibs you can get at Spencers Gifts at the Mall. Try a porn movie while you're going at it and try talking about the things the people are doing. You may be surprised at the response you get. Just be prepared to break the ice by making a coment about what you're watching or telling her you would like to try...or have her do...or you would like to do x to her etc...

I have found most women will open up about sex if they feel safe and won't be looked at in a funny way. Men are like that too. If you are looking for a toy that is not intimidating try some sort of clit stimulator. The best introductory anal toys? First, I'd say we focus on size. The smaller the better to begin with. Not only can a large toy be intimidating, but it can be very painful. A very good starter would be the Juli Ashton starter kit. There are a variety of butt plug sizes to chose from.

Those are great, easy to use 'beginning' vibes, just be careful with them. On a couple that I've used, there was a very rough plastic tip (like extra plastic from the mold or whatever) so you may want to go over your toy first and smooth out any rough edges.
