Tell me what you all do, cause I have a date tomorrow night with hubby and I've never done this before My mom is watching Dante.Do you go to dinner? Movie? We go to dinner then either a movie, or something else we can do together that we both like. We try not to talk ONLY about the kids, but of course, we do talk some about them (I've heard advice of not to talk about your kids at all). Afterwards, we come home and...well, the rest is yours. I told him I bought new black heels for when he takes me out Little does he know I'll be wearing them tomorrow night when I go out dancing with my girlfriend. We usually go to a comedy club, there is this seedy place that always has someone fun. We go to bars and check out bands, even though they are cover bands here or out to dinner then a bar. We'll snuggle in blankets on the floor while we watch a movie & munch popcorn. We'll play games, laugh and talk. It's not much, but it's relaxing & it's together.We have a lot of day-trip dates. We love going driving and visiting one of a number of favorite spots (mostly waterfall areas) for photographing, hiking, and just being outdoors. Hopefully we're able to keep that tradition at least a few times this year -- with gas prices as they are, it saddens me that might not happen.Anyway... our dates are always about just being together. We try not to talk about sad things that may be happening at that particular time, or work issues, or "to do" lists... nothing that puts pressure.Have fun with whatever you two choose to do! Members ladylove Posted May 16, 2008 Members Report Share Posted May 16, 2008 When my kids were little we had date night. it started by going out in the evening and playing tennis, then dinner. physical activity does a lot for the libido. it evolved to dinner and a sexy movie, one with sex scenes in it.. not porn. then dinner and a play. A couple of times my husband took me to a hotel for a romantic in room dinner. I think the point is it doesn't matter what you do as long as you do it. One suggestion though....don't talk about work, kids, any household stuff. the whole idea is to get away and reconnect. Have a Great Time. Let us know how it went. Doesn't work out as well as I wish 'cause hubby is just not that sensual a guy (more of wham, bam, thank you mam kind of guy) but you gotta try to keep something going if your gonna stay right? We either go out to dinner and a movie (kinda like high school and make out a bit at the movies) or we have gone to the casino a few times. Then we come home to a quiet house and get to do whatever we want and take our time cause we know we wont be interrupted by the kids and I dont have to worry about how loud I get.Dress up really hot including the bra/panties/stockings. Paint the toe nails and do other things you might not normally do like full makeup or whatever. Text him thru out the day telling him what you want to do to him later that nite. Run your hand down his leg at dinner or even put your foot in his lap... i know sounds silly but if he has a foot fetish like Anton it will drive him crazy. Therefore, we try to make our alone time special. If we have the $$, we go out to eat and have drinks. We never go to the movies - not our thing - we want to be alone! So we sometimes pick a movie out together to buy. However, we don't always watch it all the way through!I ALWAYS dress up for these nights! I show off the girls, which he loves. And I never wear panties if I wear a skirt - and I always tell him at dinner that I don't have them on! That always makes him ask for the check and be all over me on the way home! So much fun! Try it!Once we are home, I break out the ligerie and he breaks out the toys - and candles, candles, candles! We love to have the house to ourselves, so this is a great time to be as loud as we want, with no interuptions, and we can stay up late! We rarely go to sleep before 3 am when our son is away! We try not to discuss the kids which forces us to expand our areas of conversation. If you're stuck for conversation, then make up a list of questions beforehand. The Bucket List is the topic du jour it seems, so start there to get the conversation rolling.If you don't have opportunity to dress up often, then step it up. Most people feel sexier when they are dolled up.Date Day - go out for breakfast. It's a nice way to start a weekend, even if you're not a morning person.
