Members whiskeywoman
Quote:Today the New York Times reports on a jaw-dropping addition to the medical spa trend. Now comes the first medi spa in Manhattan wholly dedicated to strengthening and grooming a woman's genital area. Phit -- short for pelvic health integrated techniques -- is to open this month on East 58th Street. Dr. Lauri Romanzi, a gynecologist who performs pelvic reconstruction surgery, said she came up with the idea for the spa one day while walking by an outlet of BriteSmile, the tooth-whitening chain. She liked that the stores cater to people with healthy teeth. The spa is essentially a gussied-up examination room down the hall from Dr. Romanzi's medical practice. At the spa, the signature treatment will be a $150 gynecological exam -- in which a client contracts her pelvic muscles around Dr. Romanzi's fingers -- to determine by feel whether muscle tone is weak, moderate or strong.Dr. Romanzi likes to call the vaginal workouts she prescribes "personal training." Clients could also use an in-office electrostimulation machine to improve pelvic muscle tone or buy a device for home use. Dr. Romanzi said that such treatments are intended to improve bladder control; she said pelvic training may also lead to more intense orgasms. Further proving that she has perfected the art of the soundbite, Dr. Romanzi goes on to say:"If you can vote and you have a vagina, you should do these," she said. "It's the dental floss of feminine fitness."and"The outer layer can become almost scrotal, very wrinkly and lax," Dr. Romanzi said.Keep reading.Phit's website lists their services as follows:Vaginal Rejuvenation:Kegel PhitnessDo-It-YourselfBaby Boot CampInner StrengthPersonal TrainerThe "Other" Face LiftLazy SusanCore RestoreLip SyncSkin Rejuvenation:Refirme Skin TighteningMatrix IR Wrinkle ReductionVelashape Body RecountouringElose Laser Hair RemovalVelasmooth Cellulite TreatmentDiamondtome Micro-DermabrasionOptimal Skin Care RegimensWhat do you think of the vagina spa? Members cmwise1
I think paying $150 for practicing kegels is a bit much. These places cater to the worry many women have that their body is not right as they age, that it becomes uglier and "lax". You van have surgery done to tighten your vagina if you choose..it's done in CA all the time. Men don't get their scrotums tightened or their penises reconstructed to stay hard. I'm not taking meds here, I'm talking surgery!!I guess in our culture where youth and beauty are considered a prize, there will always be a service to appear to provide it. I just hope no one gets killed trying to have their vagina tightened up. Anesthesia deaths still occur. And pelvic reconstruction surgery takes a minimum of 3-4 hours.Just my 2 cents.I'm old. Members nosleepnmesa
I agree I sure do have alot better things to spend my money on. As far as the kegal thing sounds like a way to earn fast cash for women that want to be lazy about them. Hell everyday pretty much while I am either typing or cross-stitching, cleaning etc or whenever I think about it I do them.Nympho I am with you Lip sync? Lmao I have much better things to spend my money on.
