Dave, I used to have the same problem. I was multi-orgasmic (more than one orgasm per sexual encounter), but once I came, I felt like I couldn't stand to have any more clitorial stimulation for several minutes. The only thing I would change about my husband isn't what most people are posting. I would go back and warn him about the times he ended up getting hurt and the hep B immunization he had to take that have left him disabled. Well, for a while the military kept our sex life hot--when you are separated for a time, whether it is a few weeks TDY or a year for deployment, that sex when you get back together is better than newlywed sex (because you have learned more about each other)! But for 31 years my husband and I have never stopped experimenting with new ideas (recently bring toys into the mix) and new ways to excite each other. And, we hug, kiss, caress each other a lot through out the day. We don't wait until we decide to have sex to be passionate with each other.

Wow, this subject got a rather emotional. But I still wanted to weigh in on it. I've been open with my kids about sex, and they realized as young teens we had a pretty active sex life when they would notice how often our bedroom door would be locked. I do discuss somethings with them, especially my daughter, but often get "That's TMI, Mom," from my sons. I have wondered about introducing my daughter to Too Timid as she doesn't have a boyfriend right now, how she would react, so it is the opposite problem. But one of my problems from way back was that sex was private. I was never taught that it was bad (although my parents did sort of freak out when they caught me masturbating at a very early age), but private. I do have one girlfriend I can discuss sex with, but with some of the others sex is barely alluded to. And it has been very difficult to open up here, even with people who don't know me, but I am working on it!

We were just discussing this in my Economics class yesterday. My professor is a firm believer that government gets too involved in peoples' lives. Some points that were made in class were made here in the forum, too. First and foremost, this should be a choice of the parent, not mandated by the government. While I supported giving my children polio vaccines, and even measles, I sometimes have wondered about the viruses that cause less problems for children (mumps, rubella and now chicken pox). I've even read articles that these type of viruses can even make the immune system stronger, but I don't believe that has been proven. I don't even want to get into the hep B vaccine, as my husband was forced to take that in the military (he was an MP so considered a first responder and they had to have it) and he developed severe adverse reactions to the vaccine--his body thinks he has hepatitis and it has been linked to the vaccine. Now we have another vaccine that has not been totally proven, in my opinion. But what I really don't like is that fact that the drug company is lobbying for this. They are the ones trying to take our freedom of choice away.

The first thing is showing love for me. When I met my husband I was going through emotional issues where I really needed to know I was loved. Even though those issues have long since been worked through, I still love the fact that my husband is very verbal and fairly demonstrative in showing his love for me. Second is a good sense of humor. That is one thing that makes a man sexy to me. Looks are not that important. I mean we may all look a second time at someone great looking, but what keeps us coming back may not be the looks. Third is kindness and a good heart. Willing to do things for others, and putting his loved ones first.

Well, after six days of ice and below freezing temps, we finally started thawing out on Thursday, and all the roads are clear now, and most parking lots. Friday morning we got some more thaw, then Friday afternoon it started raining and is still raining. That was our best case scenario for this weekend. Our worst case scenerio was an inch of ice before it started snowing, and then 8-10" of snow. It could still snow some tonight, but I think the worst is probably over. The gym has been closed, my belly dancing classes cancelled, school has been out all week (but not college). The only problem now is the mud in the back yard that my dogs are tracking in. I keep a Swiffer wet on the ready for the kitchen but my living room carpet will have to be shampooed when this is over. For right now I'm trying not to worry about it. That's what I have the carpet cleaner for....

Trying to stay warm here in Oklahoma. We have had about 1 1/2" of ice. The main roads are OK, but the residential areas are still iced over and treacherous. Schools are closed. I just saw two wreckers come by the house with vehicles (our street is completely residential), so that's not a good sign. This isn't normal for this area, but we do get ice storms occasionally, but usually it is warmed up the next day. We've had below freezing temperatures since Friday, and we are finally predicted to be above freezing on Thursday, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday have chances of snow/rain/wintry mix in the forecast. We lost power for about 3 hours late Friday afternoon. We have a generator, so I wasn't too worried--we have a gas range, so I'd be able to cook and we'd be able to keep warm enough. But I was still glad when the power came back on.

I start my Bachelor's Degree (I have my Associate's) next Tuesday (school starts back Monday, but all my classes are Tuesday and Thursday). I got my Associate's on-line, but am attending a regular University for my Bachelor's. I'm 53 and rather apprehensive. But my husband and kids, who have all been through this before, tell me I'll do just fine.

I've been thinking about this and I can't come up with a definitive answer. My husband and I have just always talked. We've told each other what we liked, what we would like to try, and if something was really good, we talk about it even outside the bedroom. Same problem here with the small ones, and I have done Kegels for years. I like the one with two joined together, rather than four. You don't have to have the Ben Wa balls to do the Kegels, it just makes you more aware. For years I have used stop lights to remind myself to do them. Every time I stop at a stop light, I do my Kegels until the light is green again. You can use other things to trigger yourself to do them.
