Thank you both for such a timely response! I think I knew the answer, but I had to hear it from someone else... I have already purchased a replacement rabbit. I knew this one wouldn't last forever. It will be a very sad night when my kids finally go to bed. I will have to have a little memorial service before he goes to vibrator heaven!!!

I'm afraid my favorite toy, a waterproof rabbit, is on it's last leg. I'm hoping someone can tell me. When I washed it off yesterday, I noticed that it is beginning to peel. Is it time to throw it away? And how do I dispose of a worn out toy? Thanks in advance.

In fact, my mother sat down the day before my wedding and said, "Well, since you're a nurse, I figure you know more about sex than I do, but do you have any questions." I had lots of questions, but couldn't have voiced them to her for anything. I have worked very hard to have the kind of relationship with my kids that I never had with my mom. My 17 year old frequently tells me that her friends can't believe the things she tells me, because they would never be able to tell their mothers. I believe it's something you have to truly want, and be willing to work at. Anyway, thanks for your comment. It means a lot.

Actually, there are NOT antibiotics in saliva, unless you are taking antibiotics. There ARE antibodies in almost all body fluids. There are also white blood cells, whose job is to recognize foreign (potentially harmful) things that enter our bodies from any spot. The white blood cells surround and destroy, if possible, the harmful thing.

My daughter and I have started talking about sex--especially HER sex life. In fact, I encouraged her to come here so she could get answers she didn't feel comfortable asking me. It has been a huge help to both of us, I think. As long as mom's physician has said it is okay, sex is fine until the bag of water around the baby breaks. However, some physicians will ask a pregnant mom to refrain from intercourse if there is a problem. For instance, I went in to premature labor with all of my children. From that time until I was around 38 weeks, intercourse was against the rules. We see lots of women come in to Labor and Delivery having preterm labor after intercourse. This is one of the biggest reasons I know of to have a good relationship with your doctor. These kind of things need to be discussed.

I feel like I have to stick up for this girl a little, going on my own experience. I have never enjoyed doggy style. It either hurt or I felt nothing. Part of that may have been a lack of experience. However, unless one of you is providing her with some clitoral stimulation, she may not feel anything. And if you are hitting her cervix, it hurts--a lot!!! Also, some women are quieter than others during sex. I don't believe that anyone has to make a lot of noise to enjoy sex.
