Nails: How Do You Like Your/women's Nails?

I LOVE having my nails painted. It depends on my mood as to what color I will wear. I just LOVE my nails!! I can grow them long, and when they get long, they start curving down a bit, like cat's claws. Meow.....And I shape them rounded. Square nails look funny on me. Probably cuz I'm not use to them. I love how having my nails done (which I do myself) makes my wedding ring look, as well as any other rings I put on that day.

Today I painted my long nails a glittery bright red that kinda looks a little "slutty". I love it!!! :D Plus, I have a couple of coats of clear gloss, just for that shiny effect. They look HOT!!

On other women, I love dark polish, or a french manicure with red polish/white tips, with some bling glued on even. Or a nice air-brushed design.

Nail polish is one of my few "girlie" fetishes that I indulge. Some women love shoes, others love CLOTHES, I love nail polish!! :P Guess I'd be considered an "easy-keeper".

I love to have my nails done. My nails don't grow that long so I have to get acrylic put over them. I normally wear dark red, or black.

I like women who do french manicures and colored tips

I suppose I like a happy medium. I don't like nails that are too long, like pornstars have - I'm always expecting fake boobs and those horrible, glass high heels with platform soles. colour is nice too.

I love both short OR long nails on women -- so long as they're well-kept, all the same length, and nice looking, they're a turn-on. Huge turn-offs for me are when the polish is chipped, the nails are ragged and uneven or they're chewed to the bone.

I love my nails when they're long, but I like them just fine when they're shorter. When they're long, they're more often than not kept squared-off, but my husband likes them round, so once in a while I'll round them off "for him" -- and then say, "Heeeey, that looks gooood!" *chuckle*

Nail polish is one of my few "girlie" things -- and I have a LOT of nail polish. A LOT. One time I lined them all up in rainbow order and took a picture of them for my co-workers, who didn't believe I had as many as I do. *giggle* They were astonished, but loved it.

My favorite color (I think *laugh*) is called, "Blackest Red." It's a very deep red that looks almost brown. It's gorgeous on long claws and I love to break the "you should only wear light colors on short nails" rule with it when I have them cut short. Little rebel, I know.

I also love to french manicure my nails. I do everything myself -- that's the other part of the whole "girlie" process for me, is pampering myself and knowing I did such a great job.

Oh, and a MUST: if I paint my fingernails, I HAVE to paint my toenails! If I don't, I feel... "uneven.":lol::D

I live in a small lake town in the middle of the forest so my nails get very dirty easy and I end up cliping them all the way down becuse:

A. There is not reason to have fancy nails in my small town.

B. They are too much trouble to upkeep.

C. I have a disablity so my hands are not steady enough to be painted by me or anyone else.

and D. If I ever want to touch myself nails hurt..badly. Just..no. I'm still healing thank you :P

I know this is old, but I haven't been here in several weeks and I just have to add my two cents:

I LOVE having my nails painted and have pretty much every color there is to have, most of them in at least three different shades (except light pink, lol, I think I have ONE regular pink and then a couple different hot pinks, but I don't really care for cotton candy sorts of pink). Valyntyn, I'd be willing to put my collection up against yours!

For a long time I worked a job where the uniform required me to take the polish off before coming to work, with the result that for most of the time I worked there I didn't bother. I WANTED painted nails but didn't see the point if I would have to take it off in less than 24 hours, so I'd only break out my vast collection for special occasions. Within the last two months, though, I've started a new job (a much, MUCH better one) and there is no uniform, so I can do whatever I want--plus my old job broke me of biting them, so I have double reason to keep them pretty! I've been matching my outfit more often than not. In the last few weeks they've been tangerine, purple, deep teal, black, black with glitter over the top, lime green, and today they're deep red, just to name a few!

I let them grow until they start feeling "bendy" at the end, like they might break. Trimming them back makes them feel stronger again, lol. I always round them off, they look funny to me square. I just bought my first set of French manicure tip guides (you know, the little stickers that keep you on the end of the nail only--didn't buy the whole kit because I already have white polish) and I'm looking forward to playing with those as well.

As far as long fingernails and touching yourself--no, no, no! It HURTS! There's a reason I won't ever go acrylic! And that's got me wondering--before I had any toys, and it was fingers or nothing, I noticed that the cuticle on "THAT" finger (I have a preference, lol, there's one finger that's, well, faster than the others) was often dry, like it needed lotion. Anyone else?
