It occurs to me that this topic is way old, but you could also try getting creative with hiding spaces in pre-existing furniture. I only have 1 toy and it's brand new, but I have a space for it under my mattress...I have a daybed, and it has big drawers underneath, and there's a safe spot between the drawer and the headboard where I can hide things. If you can find little places like that with your furniture, it should help with storage.
