I have to say this thread brought up an interesting thought I had yesterday watching Christmas videos with my kids. I think people are taking themselves WAY too seriously these days. We were watching the Christmas Classic movie "Santa Claus is comin' to town", you know the one, back from the early '70s that played on TV. Well there is a song when Kris Kringle first starts giving out toys to the kids, a warm loving representation of unabashed giving... "If you sit on my lap today, a kiss a toy is the price you'll pay..." OK, so I guess we can add sexual preditor to Santa's list of vital sins... right up there with insulting the Australian 'ho population. I say...give it a rest. Peace out brotha.

I had a few toys that I loved prior to meeting (and marrying) Mr. SP. But I have to say that he has a much better eye for choosing toys. He bought my current favorite. It was very reasonably priced but once you start adding attachments it starts creeping up there in price.

We had them in a blue suitcase for a while, but I kept tripping over it. So now we just keep them in the bedside table. They used to fit in the drawer, but we have expanded to the bottom cabinet also. we don't lock it, for a few reasons. 1) If our family sees it, well then, what a GREAT discussion we will have over the Thanksgiving table! I'm not ashamed of our toys. And I am fortunate to come from a very open family. 2)our kids aren't supposed to be snooping in our rooms 3) if the kids do find it, then I feel it is a wonderful opportunity to educate them. (age appropriately as they are 6 and 8)
