I have had spinal fushion and I am 3 weeks post. My wife is a nurse and takes care of me very well. I agree with Howard, pain is a powerful thing, and can ruin almost anything! If you are on pain meds, it can also be a side affect of those. Also, do not drink anything if you are on pain meds!

You're still healing, so I would give it time. I'm surprised your surgeon gave you the OK to have sex only 3 wks post ((s)he did, right???). Usually, with any sort of surgery, it's 6-8 weeks.

Take it easy, take it slow. It might help to watch a porn to get the blood flowing. Most of all: don't rush it! Be relaxed and if it happens, great! If not, try again later.
