I am fond of the battery powered ones only because they are easier to store, you don't have to mess with the charging bases. I have found no particular difference in strength of "vibrations" or length of charge. I just keep a good supply of C and D batteries on hand, and that seems to keep me in busines. Also, many of the battery powered vibes are waterproof (check first please) and of course electric ones are not. I have not found a rechargeable one that is - that I can think of at the moment!

So my choice would be battery for convienience, price and ease of storage!

Has it ever died on you in a most inopportune time?

I make my own mix of the two and bought rechargeable batteries. No one asks what teh batteris are for cause I have my dig and my MP3 player so they just assume it's for mundane things.....

Don't you love little secrets.....

Nope! as long as my computer is on, it works great.... I hate how my other vibes start to die down and then I have to keep turning them up until the batteries go completely dead.... saves money for me, as N batteries aren't rechargeable as of yet (That I've seen, anyway)

Now I get why you'd want a vibrator that hook into the computer. I couldn't figure that out

I have one rechargable one, and although I love it, I always forget about it, and when I remember it, it's when I want to use something NOW, so I rarely use it. I also have 2 of the USB vibes from TT too, but I rarely use those either. I don't look at internet porn, and, with my computer so near to the epicenter of the house, I usually go into the bedroom to masturbate.

I keep a variety of AA, AAA, C, and a few D batteries always in stock at home (with kids & hurricanes, you can never have enough batteries), so I'm usually good to go! LOL I guess battery ones are just more convenient/quick.

I've got one usb vibe (hooray for TT freebies!) and everything else is battery-powered, so I don't really have any way to compare them. However, I've rarely seen a rechargeable that was waterproof, not just splashproof, and even more rarely under $100 (on my budget, not realistic), so I've never bothered to try one. I've got a pile of rechargeable batteries, so I can have the best of both worlds in a lot of ways.

Just to update, now I have 2 rechargeable ones, and I will stick to the "battery operated" toys usually, for conveniences and such. I don't normally plan on what sex toys I'm going to use, unleass I get a new TT shipment, so charging can be a bit on the inconvenient side....especially for those of us with "Mommy Brains"! LMAO

i could see owning a couple rechargeable ones (emergency stash if you run out of batteries? ) but i wouldnt want to get so many that i cant figure out which base goes to what.

i think that infrared rechargeable dealy is waterproof though?

i almost exclusively own battery operated toys, but i DO have rechargeable batteries!

I have one rechargeable to date and don't find any difference in them besides the power source.

E, I guess you don't have kids, because, with kids you always have to have a storage room of batteries on hand. God forbid the little darlings run out of batteries for there favorite toy.
