I can lick my elbow, just not the very tip of it. It's only because I've got unstable shoulders and a kind of long tongue though

5. Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure.

This actually isn't true! When we talk about the scientific definition of sex for pleasure, it only includes sexual behaviors that will not produce offspring, such as masturbation or oral sex. Even within that very narrow definition though, bonobos (dwarf chimps) are an additional species that not only has sex for pleasure, but whose very social structure is highly dependent on sexual behavior! Bonobos engage in practically every sexual behavior humans do, right down to French kissing and oral ;)

I have to question whether these are from actual research or from guessing. I see where these people are just now figuring out that birds are not monogamous .

Well, when you hear about the limited number of species that have sex for pleasure, you have to take into account that sexual activity hasn't been studied in all that many species in the first place :). The list is only those in which it has been definitely observed.
