I am on a mommies website and they have a chatbox, but you can't talk about dirty things because some prude thinks its nasty and rude. Damn we all have babies, we KNOW how they come into the world! My only concern would be younger kids. Unless you can set chat to be password protected or something to that effect. If you need help with anything just shoot me a pm. I was an admin on a chat for many years, and I'm around most of the time. Thanks for doing this, I think it will be fun and just bring the site to a different level of information exchange and fun. Members whiskeywoman Posted April 15, 2008 Members Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 As far as ground rules go, I think that the obvious would be good.No chat of illegal activities, like how you made a drug score, or child pornography, etc.No threatening/fighting with other board members- meaning no flame wars.No coming into the room just to start a fight to make it more "exciting"I'm sure I could think of more.As Aiden suggested, if you need help moderating a chat channel, I would help as I have done it in the past.I never saw a chat room here before, otherwise I would have been in there. My feeling was they could close the chat box and didn't have to read what was being talked about. But not apperently they like to read it get offended then email the Mod's and tell them, instead of asking us to change the subject or like I said closing the box! I agree that sometimes mommies do, or they think someone is going to judge them for what they like. Hey I don't care, whatever floats your boat! As someone told me before "what you and your SO agree on in the bedroom is your business, it doesn't matter what others think!" So I try to live by that when it comes to the bedroom with my husband and I. Eh, soon I'll be able to chat with all you guys so it doesn't matter! We have about 3 Admins on our board, 2 regulars, just to be sure that someone is usually there to see what's going on on a regular basis.
