Members Emily
$74.50 to fill my truck yesterday and i still had 1/4 of a tank. and the woman behind the counter tried to convince me that i didnt need $75.00 in gas when i prepaid. Ha i could have fit the $.50 if i tried. my favorite post to this board was yours MOMD "It's getting to where I just back up to the pump since I'm getting screwed anyway. And we don't even get a kiss when they have finished with us."I heard a joke like that the other day._the US government is going to start playing porn at gas pumps_So you can watch someone else get f'ed while you do. Its not looking like gas prices are going to get better. Maybe the gas companies will cut us a break when no one can afford to go to work anymore and the economy crashes. Members mystofpric
The ones I really feel for are the folks who are trying to make it on min. wage and feed and clothe kids.I spent a great deal of my life in the retail business, and I can't believe what this has done to food prices... $5.99 for a 10 lb bag of potatoes ...That is outrageous.I live with my mom and her boyfriend, I pay room and board basicly (i only eat protien brs any way until i hit the next phase of my diet sooo this will say a lot) For three people and two dogs she spends $200 a week. That's right a week. I try to buy at least one box of my protien bars a week(at 7.50 a box they had better be made of gold dammit). She buys very little junk food, and almost nothing prepackaged. All most all of it is fresh meat and veggies. WTF is that? Oh and BTW gas is 4.15 now, and that's for teh cheap stuff, and yes it does come with lube, but again the cheap stuff. WELL ON A HAPPY NOTE....I drove by the Safeway 4 or 5 days ago and regular was $2.60 or $2.57 with your Safeway card. It was probably 3 1/2 weeks since I got gas and it was $3.10 for regular then. But that was in October.

Members 12GAUGE
I commute 130 miles round trip, lucky for me I have a friend that lives close by the hospital I work at so I stay there.I filled up tonight at Costco for 3.86 a gallon for the cheap stuff. We are really seeing the price increase on the farm diesel is outrageous, chicken and cattle feed have almost doubled in the last year and a half and we can’t raise our prices enough to make up for it.Remember this when you pay at the check stands the farmer is paying more too and can’t pass the increase on to you to make a profit. This is most definitely a rock and a hard place. The last time I topped my tank was on Oct 19 2008 and regular was $3.10 a gallon. Tonight it was $2.10 for self serve regular. I still have just over half a tank. Food prices are dropping too...2% milk tonite is 2.99 a gallon. Yeehaaa I drink ALOT of moojuice. Tyger
Gas is now, at the lowest I've seen in the area, $1.85 for regular. Milk is still about $3.64 a gallon though. I think it's gonna take a little time for what was expensive to ship to be sold out for the lower items, but hopefully, it'll be soon! Members Kinky Twinkie
I read an article today that explained what I explained awhile back about food prices dropping at a later time because of the fuel cost. Alternative fuel exploration caused this because of the demand for corn which is a primary food source for cattle in addition to other mammals. Producers have locked into agreements to get fuel at x amount while prices were going up. However it said nothing about it being voided when prices came down and the agreements for prices were based upon projections. So in gonna be awhile, thank your global warming b.s supporters.Glenn
