Members chloegirl
Is it just me or does anyone else get the severly stopped up ears, almost feel deaf to small sounds syndrom after you have a hard orgasm? It only lasts a minute but still weird. Maybe it has to do with me arching my neck and back too much as I'm hitting that peak...just wondering

Review Team sass Posted October 25, 2009 Review Team Report Share Posted October 25, 2009 Guess I need to have a talk with hubby, I must not be cumming hard enough 'cause I have never lost hearing, sight or gotten dizzy. I feel like I am missing out on something now. Hubby has been known to lose his ability to speak full sentences, sometimes even full words, for a couple minutes afterwards though. Kind of like a regression to baby-babbles.
Members ohshelly
Oh, Ms, that is so sweet! Now the rest of us feel bad, because we don't reduce our guys to babble!

Members ladylove
once in a while I'll get dizzy but very rarely. I wonder what leslie or mikayla would say about the reactions.
Members leslieanne
From a physiological/medical perspective all the symptoms mentioned could be related to a number of things1)short term elevation in blood pressure and/or heart rate2)subsequent short term drop in blood pressure3)elevated adrenaline levels (can affect muscle contractions, heart rate, blood pressure)activation/stimulation of the pleasure areas of the brain with release of varying amounts of seratonin, dopamine (or which ever neuro hormone is involved - sorry don't remember which one......) - this can override other neurological impluses in the brain4)the length of foreplay - the longer the foreplay and teasing the longer you are at apt to be at a higher plateau of excitment even if not at the point of orgasming5)number of orgasms6)your excitment or fatigue level going into the sessionThere are some women who are known to momentarily lose consciousness when having an orgasm - just their physiologic response. since we are all wired differently how our body responds is also unique. All this is a long way of saying........it's just how you respond - and as long as it's good that's all that really matters. The only thing I would worry about is chest pain - at or in a short time frame (30 minutes or so) after having an orgasm - that may be an indication of narrowing of the vessels in the heart. All I know is that I love it whenmy partner and/or I are babbling for a bit afterwardsI can't hear or see quite normally right away or my body just goes limp
Members ohshelly
Thank you leslieanne. I knew someone would come through with an answer,I was never overly concerned because I had reacted that way from the first.I also have whole body 'shudders' for a minute or two after orgasm. Then I feel like a puddle. total relaxation.I didn't know it wasn't normal until I was much older.I always felt it was a reaction to being over stimulated during orgasm. Members Sunday
Sounds like an interesting problem. Perhaps you're getting your head pounded against the headboard/wall and don't notice? Have your man tie your ankles to the bottom corners of the bed next time so you don't get pushed up to the top. Report back - in detail.

Guest eminatic
lol wow this thread is scary D: i can orgasm but my orgasms are always kind of sucky and i always wonder "why do people like THIS so much? that was kinda lame" i can also talk normally before, during and after an orgasm and the whole process takes around 60 seconds or less according to my friends though, i've never had an orgasm lol. i've certainly never experienced any of the symptoms mentioned here that's for sure...i think the only post orgasm thing i notice is that i become EXTREMELY turned off. like even before the orgasm is over...like right when it hits all of a sudden i just feel horribly turned off and disgusted =/
Members RC4BLUE
With extremely intense orgasms I have a deep aching (pain?) in my groin. I get very sensitive to touch, occasionally with pin prick feelings on my skin. With normal orgasms I usually feel relaxed. There are time I can go again with in 30 seconds to a minute. I love those days.
Members wendybird74
Well it's been beating five years since I have had earth shattering feelings of pleasure during sex I am never very inspired when I try alone. I also think I am a control freak when it comes to letting go. Only one person ever took my power and I liked it. My boyfriend and I are struggling in the bedroom or I am I think all the other things in our life are effecting my desire to do much more than lay there in the bedroom maybe it's a protest I don't know I know I have sexual desire but when we get there it's lack of luster... When we get older or we are in relationships is it unrealistic to want passion and fireworks is it unrealistic to want to be treated as you were when you were dating not always but now and then I don't know how to communicate my needs and be heard anymore I can't even be heard with little things during the day
Members krisleightate
Wendybird, why don't you try to write him a letter? Sometimes an old fashioned letter can get your point across better than talking.
Members Frank82
I think Kris is right some times it is easier to do a letter or at least you can go back over it to make sure it is what you want to say. In person even with those we care about it is hard to talk face to face trying to get the words right and are they listening. To write it out is not always easy but you can take your time and the person you are writing it to pays a more attention because they have to stop and read even with distractions going on around them.
