Sexiest Movie

So, what, in your opinion, do you think is the sexiest movie out there that is NOT porn? And why?

"Wild Orchid"

Some might call it soft-core, but this is one of the hottest movies I have ever seen. Voyeurism, diguises, domination, and rough sex, this movie has it all. Watching Emily's (Jacqueline Bisset) journey from innocence to sexual freedom is quite liberating and it's all done tastefully. It probally took my wife and I three tries to make it to the end of the movie, but what a trip.

The Color of Night with Bruce Willis is pretty explicit, but it is not exactly "romantic" - but it is steamy! Willis gets it on in the swimmin pool with a hot girl - or guy - or girl??

Unfaithful with Richard Gere...oh man, those scenes with Diana Lane and her lover...*shivers*

The Secretary with Maggie Gylenhaul and James Spader....acquired taste but still hot

Hmmm...I know there are more, I just have to think of em!

There are TONS of great sex scenes in not so sexy movies, almost too many to recount. For overall movies I'd have to agree with Hannibal that any Mickey Roarke movie is gonna walk that line between erotic and soft core... like 9 1/2 weeks with Kim Bassinger. There was a sequal, but it fell way short.

Wild Orchid is totally hot, but Jackie Bisset was the older woman. Carrie Ottis played the younger woman, she and Roarke were actually dating when the film was made. Rumor has it those sex scenes were real, and therefor the film is considered potential porn by those who believe the rumors. Still exotic and erotic all the same.

Also a complete agreement with Mikayla on Unfaithful. Those scenes were very intense. And being a woman in the thirty-something stage of life, I can totally relate to what that character was going through.

If we step into mere sex scenes, there are these brief and wonderfully compelling scenes, like the blue lit see nothing sex scene in Top Gun that made this 17 year old girl wet her panties in 3 seconds flat. And can anyone deny the sheer debauchery in The Last Seduction with Bill Pullman and Linda Fiorentino? Something about being pinned against a chain link fence...

Let's not forget Looking for Mr. Goodbar and all the Happy Hooker movies. I never found the Emmanuale series to be all that hot. Secretary is at the top of that list also.

" Emmanuelle In Bangkok " is the best of the films, with Silvia Crystal. I also like the scene in bed in " Mountains of the Moon" . " Tom Jones " is still very well done erotic art, with Albet Finney, and Susannah York. " The Deep" with Jacqueline Bisset and Nick Nolte, was terrific for the Wet T-shirt scenes. A lot of guys got a whole lot more interested in scuba diving after that movie came out!

Howard

I must say that the sexiest wet-T scene in my mind is with Olivia D'Abo? in Bullies!

Ooh! I've been meaning to add Wild Orchid to my netflix list. Click!

Secretary, yes it's in the top fave's.

Unfaithful was a shock how steamy that film got - Phew!

I'd have to say the Pillow book, but like the Secretary it's an acquired taste. Ewen McGregor GROWL!

Angelina Jolie had some very steamy scene's in Gia too.

I'll have to think abou this one for a bit.

A History of Violence -- I have a bit of a fetish for criminals and murderers, I must admit. Nothing like a truly dangerous man hiding behind a mild-mannered, loving exterior. The relationship he had with his family was lovely, and besides... this movie had a couple of the hottest (and most realistic) sex scenes ever! Angry sex on the stairs? Can't beat that.

The Number 23 -- Yeah yeah, a lot of people hated this one, but I really liked the first half of it. The combination of violence and sex was intoxicating, and I left the theatre wanting some of that for myself! Any movie that can make me find Jim Carrey sexually attractive must have done something right.

Lolita (1997 Adrian Lyne version) -- ...Is that wrong?. I really like the character of Humbert and was obsessed with the book for quite some time. This is one of those rare movies I can watch over and over, anticipating what's to come as the sexual tension builds, and knowing all the while that in the end they'll both be ruined by it all. One of the user comments on IMDB says it best:

When the 1997 version of Lolita was widely censored in the US, many asked why the reaction was so strong to this film. After all, the novel was published in the US in 1958, Kubrick's film version appeared in 1962, and we hear more shocking tales of sexual depravity every day on the daytime talk shows. But after seeing Lyne's brilliant version of Lolita, I can see how he manages to breathe fresh controversy into this familiar story. Lyne's lascivious lens eroticizes Lolita's every movement and pose. The viewer is forced to see her through the eyes of Humbert and to feel his obsession and desire. We are co-conspirators in his crime, and at the end we share his shame. Rather than shocking us (and having us pull away in revulsion), Lyne draws us in and makes us face the Humbert in ourselves. This is an incredibly powerful film.

The Ballad of Jack and Rose -- Actually, considering this trend, maybe I just have a thing for taboo/forbidden love.

EDIT: And older men.

Well, I'm not into the classic movies, no offense to anyone that posted them. Although, a couple movies that I really like probably will be classified as classics very soon! LOL

I love movies with a good plot and lots of music. I STILL find Dirty Dancing very sexy. Not because of the steamy sex, which really doesn't show a lot of, but the sexual heat that's given off of the dancers. Oh, and Patric Swayze is pretty damn hot too!! LOL

I also like Titanic (the one that everyone knows now) with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. The quick and intense romance really gets me. It always makes me cry too. I saw the original one, and that was OK, but I also liked the history and scale of the newer one.

Save The Last Dance is pretty good. I love the underlaying sexual heat, the obstacles of a biracial relationship, and the struggles the couple endures to be together.

I'm so cheezy, I know.

Tyger - right there with ya for Dirty Dancing. That scene when Swayze is all wet from the rain. Growl!

Oh and I forgot all about True Romance. Man I love that scene when Patricia Arquette gets pounded in the phone booth. HOT! Her boobs look fab in that flick. And what a quirky love story ;)

Mike - Who's chopper is dis?

I was watching IFC's Indie Sex Series (really great series!) and I had completely forgotten to mention 2 flicks.

1. A Dirty Shame --- While this is by no means a sexy film, it is sexually hilarious. And as many of us all say on here, sex is about Adult Play. This flick does nothing more than remind us all about that. John Waters is genius and Tracey Ullman plays a horny house wife like no other! Not to mention can you really not laugh at someone called Ursula Utters? One of the best social comment flicks out there on the subject.

2. Shortbus--- I love indie cimena, but this one takes the cake as ODD. The whole movie is about sexploration; a group of people finding out who they are sexually and what attracts them. The first five minutes I sat there watching it trying to decide whether I should keep watching or close my mouth from interest.

French Kiss, Kevin Kline is sooo hot with the scruff and the accent.

End of Days, specifically the scene where Gabriel Byrne as Satan disguised as a man does a young woman and her mother at the same time.

In all honesty, the movie that gets me the most randy is 300 LMAO

It could be the mostly naked people runnin' around, the strong characters that I can relate to, or that amazing sex scene (that is way too short IMO). More then likely it is all of the above.

Whew.

Guess what im watchin' tonight

I agree with FloydVixen. 300 all the way!!! Gerard Butler's naked back side, hundreds of insanely ripped guys wearing nothing but a loincloth and a cape beating the shit out of the opposing army. *drool* :P

I also have to add the "bookcase" scene in Atonement with Keira Knightley and James McAvoy. That is one of the hottest sex scenes I've seen and they both have their cloths on! Now that's good film making.

Lastly I know this one is kind of weird but I always get turned on when I watch the Underworld series. I guess it's the whole vampire thing.
