I think it's the sweeping romance of it combined with the total, utter seductiveness of the tall, dark, and handsome stranger. And that VOICE--I've heard Music of the Night recorded from a Broadway performance and it wasn't nearly as sexy as Gerard Butler's rendition.Hee, I'm, what, six posts in? And I've already revealed my LotR fangirlishness. Billy Boyd's on my list--just not the top FIVE, lol. (Probably somewhere around seven or eight--that accent just makes me weak in the knees.And Naveen Andrews has his charms as well...so long as he's using the Iraqi accent. That's totally fake, in interviews he has a British accent and his voice doesn't seem to suit him...a bit of a turnoff for me.
