It's just something about a tall, handsome, fangs and amazing eyes that makes me shiver, in a very good way. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a blood fetish. I believe blood should stay in the body. I read her books, travelled to see her at book signings, collected her comic books (or books based on her books) and was ALWAYS dressing like a vampire (a sexy one) any chance I got. I also got a teeny, weeny bit into a "biting" fetish with my long term ex boyfriend - we invested a stupid amount of money for Vampire Fangs that were made exclusively for your teeth and you could eat, drink and BITE with them. I had some of my sexiest and most extreme orgasms while role playing Vampires!So, yes, I understand that obsession. Especially if you read Ann Rice because her Vampires are soooooo seductive in nature and sex is almost some abstract part of the scenario. I have since "outgrown" - for lack of a better word - the biggest part of the obsession and now just enjoy the read! However, I understand it and I was once a big part of it! I also had the nibbling thing going on, and still do one in a while. I didn't go as far as Mikayla did, but, I still enjoy the good read of a great vampire story (so long as it's more "realistic" and not FANTASTIC) & movie. There is defnitely that dark, mysterious attraction. I don't wish to have my blood taken from me either but I do love to have my neck bit and nibbled on and I love to do the same. Nora Roberts did a book trilogy in which one of the main characters is a vampire and he is so dark and brooding and written so sexily you can't help but to be attracted to him. I still love the romanticized, seductive image that's been put upon vampires, how their whole act of feeding/killing is practically sex all unto itself and I still read and watch books and movies with vamps in them and enjoy them very much, but I don't go out of my way for them, nor do I include them in any role-play or fantasizing.I do, however, LOVE when my husband bites my neck to the point of almost paralysis (no blood drawn). I think its because of their mannerisms, I loved the movie Interview with a Vampire. But the whole slasher vampire thing does not do it for me, like Dust til Dawn...those kind of movies just gross me out. But the whole sex, biting, and ideas behind it drive me crazy. I also bought a porno called Dark Angles that was extremely hot...there was a few scenes where they throw in blood, but other then that I highly recommend it, its not top of the line, but it is classy. I'm not into the sucking blood or violence, but the flirting with danger is definitely a turn on. I even made up my own kind of vampire (you can find a hint of it on Elfwood, search for Aijalon.) I don't think I uploaded a full description of them yet, but basically, they are misconstrued. They have fangs and a venom that is best delivered by biting the neck area as is is usually exposed and near both blood vessels and the spinal cord. They don't suck blood at all, it just looks that way. Also, very sensual, they love rich colors, rich music, rich sensations. They spend their long, long lives exploring the best ways to enjoy everything. I definitely want to get the fangs that look real and you can talk, bite, eat with them in, but you can take out easily. I probably will never have the money to spend on that, let alone the courage to do it. Besides, I'd probably get carried away as hubby doesn't like it when I bite him, even lightly.
